Earlier, I made a blog about bing, Microsoft‘s new search engine. Now I wanna do a little review on Microsoft’s new baby. Bing had come into being because of the fact that Yahoo and Microsoft didn’t come to an agreement. Microsoft wanted Yahoo and Yahoo declined.

So I made a little search of my site on bing. And it found it easier than Google or Yahoo did. So I guess for web developers, bloggers, seo, it’s best to submit your urls there while you still can. They index faster than most search engines. I got mine indexed there in less than a week. Google’s indexed mine, but Yahoo hasn’t yet. I suggest you guys submit your domains / sites as soon as you can because when bing stops accepting them and you’ll have to wait in line like everyone else, that’ll be it for you.

Anyway, more about bing. Bing has a slightly different approach with their search engine. It’s far too young to accurately give a real review yet since the guys at bing haven’t really worked out all the kinks yet. But it’s getting there. The searches are getting more and more accurate by the day. Categories are getting filled. Image search is getting better.

What bing can offer you now?

  • Like I mentioned earlier for those who wanna promote their sites, you can get it indexed at bing pretty quickly.
  • bing offers a “cloud” that pops up when you move lay your mouse cursor over that line with the small yellow circle on the side of their search results that gives you tiny tidbits of what’s inside the side. You won’t have to actually visit the site to read the contents. With that cloud you can also see the links inside or if that page has rss or do a trackback via the cloud.
  • bing’s lightning fast with searches and page loading so if you’re in a hurry you can actually surf faster with bing. Google’s in for a running for this site when it comes to page loading and search speed.

Well that’s if for now. I’ll post some more if there are news on bing.
