Howard TV

First of all, I’ve been a fan of Howard since I first saw him when I was a teenage in the 90s on Betamax that  I rented out what I thought was a porno. LOL. I then saw him again on the E! channel having parts of his radio show televised and showing their antics for all to see, which was shown here locally on TV through Cable Television. Then I rediscovered his show online and redistributed on his website as an on demand kind of thing.

Who is Howard Stern?

Howard Stern first got famous from being a radio show host on terrestrial radio. He developed a “free-form personality” in these shows and became quite controversial. His infamy then on spread and eventually got himself a TV Shows, a Movie, Books, and then eventually his show got moved on to Satellite Radio.

The reason why he made the move to Satellite Radio was because he felt that his show got too constricted by the censors and the pressures from the media. His show finally got the freedom they needed and moved his whole team to Sirius Satellite Radio. He now has full rights to his show, owns the show, has complete freedom, gets a lot of money and works less hours. What more can a guy want?

So anyway, what makes this show great?

They’re not afraid of what they wanna say. They do whatever the hell they want. Half of the personalities in the show are either Misfits or Weirdos. The kind of heart that Howard actually has to keep people like the Wack Pack, Richard Christy, Artie Lange and Sal the Stockbroker around is just insane. And of course, because they were kept around by Howard, these guys have been, most of the time, assets to his show.

They’re a crazy bunch of people with a lot of oddballs and somehow it works to their advantage. Apparently people like seeing this kind of thing. Robyn Quivers, the one woman there with somewhat of a moral perspective there has become quite a personality herself. At first when Robyn first came, if you’ve seen the movie Private Parts, Howard and Robyn practically annoyed each other to death. And from then on they became a team.

Howard’s friends with a lot of celebrities and millions of people just want to get on his show, to be able to promote their wares or movie or whatever. Millions of people listen to his show and support from his fans is outrageous. What’s really so sad is that his show’s contract with Sirius in a little over a year.

It’s pretty much a radio show / talk show style format only rated for adults.

Here’s a clip of Denise Richards guesting on his show:
