So it’s been 6 days since part 1. The Napolitano Basils have been establishing themselves in their respective pots. Both have been growing nicely. They’ve been both exposed to the same weather, light, and water conditions. No soil amendments, no fertilizers, no pesticides whatsoever.

So anyway, most of you may remember that I tried to make a review of a few weeks back about this particular potting mix. That was a bust. Due to bad weather, and bad gardening on my part, the one in the regular garden soil died. I’ve just gotten back from Manila Seedling bank and got myself a couple of basil plants. These are the same varieties. Napolitano Basil. An italian heirloom found in MSBF. I’ll be redoing this whole review from the start to make sure I don’t make the same mistake twice.
Finally had some time to buy some garden soil. Bought a 50 kilo bag of garden soil at the local landscaping place here in the south of the metro for P50. Also found some compost for P20 a kilo which is awesome. All I need to find now is some chicken manure and I’m pretty much set for soil amendments.
So the rules to the Potting Mix Review,
1. Grow one basil plant in regular garden soil. The other in Enrico Soil-less Potting Mix. and compare.
2. No amendments whatsoever until review is done. (in 3 weeks)
3. Regular watering with rainwater and or tap water. Grow both plants in similar situations, same sun, same water, same conditions.
