Japan’s DDM.tv is bringing on-demand Blu-ray quality HD adult movies to the PLAYSTATION 3. The service requires a broadband connection, an HDMI cable and, obviously, a PS3 console — the only device the service works with presently. Before downloading the movies for a fee, users must log onto the DMM.tv Blu-ray website and can search for titles like by keywords, actress, genre, etc. Discerning titles include the likes of Yuma Asami and the 100 Masterbaters. All hundred of them. On your PS3. In full HD. Yeah.

Although
David
Jaffe

DIY: How to Upgrade Your PS3 Hard Drive

It doesn’t matter if you have the 20GB, 60GB, or even the new 80GB PlayStation 3–you can always use more storage space. All that available hard-disk space quickly disappears once you start downloading games, demos, and HD videos. Fortunately, Sony has designed the PS3 to allow console owners to perform their own hard-drive upgrades. You can go out and select your own hard drive instead of being forced to buy an official first-party hard-disk accessory. However, giving console owners that freedom means that aspiring upgraders will need to know how to select the right hard-drive upgrade and the proper installation technique.

The first step to replacing the hard disk is going to the store or visiting an online retailer to pick up a new hard disk. The PS3 is compatible with just about any 2.5-inch SATA notebook hard disk. Both 5400- and 7200-RPM drives should work fine. The physical size of the hard disk is important because it has to fit the PS3′s 2.5-inch drive tray. As far as storage capacity goes, it doesn’t make sense to go through the trouble of upgrading unless you go big: We’re talkin’ 120GB, 160GB, or even 250GB.

A Possible Future of Gaming

I was just reading a blog on G4TV and I would like share it with you guys. This might just be where gaming is going now. The writer of the letter to Patrick Klepek does have a point.

“In the near future my sons are going to get tired of Mario and be ready for Call of Duty and SOCOM,” he said. “They are very smart and will know the difference between that little box with its poor graphics and the PS3/360. But they will have no idea how to play a video game sitting on the couch and mashing buttons. They are going to want a gun that recoils and moves with them. They are going to want to dodge and duck and strafe with their bodies, because that’s the way [they] are learning to play today.”

Sony’s New Controller for the Playstation 3

This is something worth looking into for new games. It’s pretty much a clone of the Wii mote, but who cares? It’s just lovely. PS3′s gonna turn into a Wii with better graphics. Who wouldn’t love a Wii with better graphics? Right? and Physx and better lighting and stuff. Lovely stuff from Sony. Hope this is gonna be a good thing for them.
