Google: The End of Viruses

Google’s Engineering Director has promised that its forthcoming Chrome OS will see ‘the end of malware’.

Google is promising what the latest issue of New Scientist magazine refers to as “a carefree antivirus nirvana” with its forthcoming Google Chrome OS.

Linus Upson, Google’s Engineering Director, has promised the company is: “Completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work.”

Search Engine Review: Microsoft’s bing

Earlier, I made a blog about bing, Microsoft’s new search engine. Now I wanna do a little review on Microsoft’s new baby. Bing had come into being because of the fact that Yahoo and Microsoft didn’t come to an agreement. Microsoft wanted Yahoo and Yahoo declined.

Bing, Microsoft’s Nth Search Engine

MAYBE the third time’s a charm.

Microsoft must certainly be hoping so, after announcing the third reincarnation of its search engine, now dubbed Bing, which goes live June 3.
By pumping $80 million to $100 million into a marketing campaign to boost its new brand, Microsoft is hoping to pull itself out of a distant third place in the search engine rankings.

Research company ComScore reports that Google accounted for 64.2 percent of all US Internet searches in April, while Yahoo had 20.4 percent. Microsoft accounted for only 8.2 percent.
