As usual, I didn’t have time to prance around and take pictures of the plants and the place. I was in a hurry to come back home and have lunch.
Bought a bunch of stuff, but the real important stuff that I did buy was bat guano and mykovam (fungal inoculant). Guano is one of the best things I can ever put in my soil. Specially in my raised beds. Rich in macro and micro nutrients that the plants love and has a lot of pro-biotics / beneficial organisms that will help enrich the soil further.

This particular bat guano is rich in phosphorous. Which is what my tomatoes just love to eat up. One of the highest concentrations of phosphorous in bat guano I’ve seen from my research online. 32%!

So I’ve decided to try my hand in composting in my backyard. Been at it for 6 weeks now. It’s been doing quite nicely. The fact that the rain has been helping me decompose most of the stuff is just plain awesome. It’s been decomposing faster everytime it rains. The earthworms underneath my pile have been coming up and munching on my pile of kitchen scraps and garden trimmings.

I went to Salcedo Farmer’s Market today to pick up some stuff from Gil Carandang. Couldn’t really stay for long as it was raining. Couldn’t take pictures, again, as it was raining. Next time when I have more time and perhaps more money I’ll hang around there and take some pictures of the wares there and perhaps me and Sir Gil together.
CalPhos and BioNim bought from Gil Carandang of Herbana Farms

don’t panic, it’s organic!
I then went straight to Manila Seedling Bank to check out their wares. When I got there it also rained like crap. We had to rush and buy what we needed and leave or else we’d be dirtying my car with wet plants. Not a good sight.
