Typhoon Juan’s Casualty

Here is just one of the several casualties I’ve had from Typhoon Juan’s rellentless rain. And there’s gonna be another Typhoon coming in. Sheesh, nature please have mercy on my garden. rain and rain on my house, just not on my garden. LOL.

Lost a couple of annuums and a chinense pepper too. I hate this. It’s hard enough that I have to grow in these conditions and now I have to battle the weather too.

Post Office Delaying My Packages, Dried Pepper Pods

So I asked my friends at The Hot Pepper forum to send me some donations of dried chili pepper pods for my class’ Restaurant Simulation. I asked them on the first week of September, which was way over a month ago. I recieved 2 packages from the post office yesterday. I already knew that these packages will take at least a month before they arrive. But I never knew that it would take 6-7 weeks before I get to even hear anything close to finding out what happened to my stuff! First package was sent out Sept. 9, and arrived here in the country on Oct. 9. The second one was sent out Sept. 14, arrived Oct. 10. It’s taken them almost 3 weeks before they’ve even told me that I had to pick something up at the post office!!!!!! Those monkeys hold my stuff and takes FOREVER before I get anything. I already gave it a month headstart so I would get it at least just right before the simulation. But NOOOOO…..they just had to hold it for an extra 2-3 weeks longer than planned. But oh well. Shit happens. To think these things were actually sent out via priority mail in the States.

Soil-less Potting Mix Review Part 3

Here’s what happened to the plant I used garden soil with.

LOL. Looks like it didn’t like the garden soil. This might be mostly my fault. I’ll redo this review when I get to buy another Basil plant.
