Here’s the details:

This promotion is open to all active UnionBank Visa Debit cardholders (EON, E-Wallet,
ePayCard, GSIS, EZ Cash with a VISA Flag). Promo period is from July 23 – August 22, 2010.


5% REBATE FOR EBAY PURCHASES

  1. All eBay purchases made using a UnionBank Visa Debit card during the promotion period
    are entitled to a 5% rebate.
  2. An eBay purchase is reflected when the term eBay is found in the cardholder’s Statement
    of Account.
  3. The rebate will be credited to the cardholder’s UnionBank account in its peso equivalent.
  4. The rebate computation is as follows: Amount in PhP multiplied by .05 = rebate to be
    credited. For example, a total purchase of P1,000 will have a rebate of
    P50 (P1,000 x.05 = P50).
  5. The promotion rebate will be credited directly to the account of the UnionBank Visa Debit
    cardholder two (2) weeks after the purchase is made or reflected on the Statement.
  6. All related taxes will be shouldered by UnionBank.

PAYPAL LINKING AND 2GO CARGO COUPONS

  1. Any UnionBank Visa Debit Cardholder who links their card to Paypal during the promotion period from July 23, 2010 to August 22, 2010 is entitled to one (1) 2GO Cargo Coupon worth P150. No minimum purchase amount required.
  2. Linking of the Paypal account to the UnionBank card is determined by UnionBank when the Expanded Use Number is reflected in the cardholder’s Statement of Account during the promotion period. The Expanded Use Number (EUN) is a randomly generated 4-digit number that PayPal issues to account holders to further “secure” their transactions. Reflection of the Expanded Use Number (EUN) on the Statement within the promo period will serve as confirmation for the delivery of the 2GO Cargo Coupon.
  3. UnionBank shall deliver the 2GO Cargo Coupon to the preferred mailing address of the sender found in his/her Customer Information File within 2 weeks.

Q: Who is entitled to join?

Q: What prizes will I be entitled to?

Q: How do I open a PayPal account and how do I link my UnionBank Visa Debit Card to PayPal?
A: For new PayPal account holders

  1. Sign up for an account at www.paypal.com.
  2. Be sure to select Philippines as the country where you live in and use Philippine Peso as the primary currency.
  3. On the account options, choose Personal. Click on the “Get Started” button.
  4. Enter your Personal Information and click on “Agree and Create Account”. Be sure to read the User Agreement at the lower portion of the page.
  5. Enter your UnionBank Visa Debit card number, card expiration date and the 3-digit CVV (number found at the back of the card) on the spaces provided. Click on “Continue”.
  6. Make sure your PayPal account is verified. See “Getting Verified” section.

For existing PayPal account holders

  1. Log-in to your PayPal account through the website (www.paypal.com).
  2. Go to Profile and select Add/Edit Bank Account from the dropdown list.
  3. Under Bank Name, type UnionBank of the Philippines
  4. Type in the 9-digit bank code of UnionBank: 010419995.
  5. Enter your 16-digit Visa card number. Re-enter your Visa card number and press “Continue”.
  6. Make sure your PayPal account is verified. See “Getting Verified” section.

Getting Verified

  1. Upon registering your UnionBank Visa Debit card, PayPal will charge you the peso equivalent of US$ 1.95 for the issuance of the Expanded Use Number (EUN) so make sure that you have at least P100 in your account. The EUN is a randomly generated 4-digit number that PayPal issues to account holders to further “secure” their transactions.
  2. For UnionBank EON or E-Wallet Card holders, you can view your 4-digit Expanded Use Number online by logging on to your account and viewing the transaction history. The Expanded Use Number will be located next to the PayPal transaction entry description.
  3. Once you have this number, log-in again to your PayPal account and go back to the My Account Overview section of the PayPal web site. Click on “Finish Expanded Use Enrollment” to enter the 4-digit number.
  4. Upon entering your Expanded Use code, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that your debit/credit card has been verified.
Q: Can I link my UnionBank Visa Debit card twice to my Paypal Account?
A: No, you cannot link your UnionBank Visa Debit Card twice to your Paypal Account. Paypal can determine whether a card has been in their system or not.
Q: When and how will I receive my 2GO Cargo Coupon?
A: Your 2GO Cargo Coupon will be delivered to the mailing address stated on your UnionBank Customer Profile one (1) week after you have linked your card to PayPal. The coupon is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.

A: You can use your 2GO Cargo Coupon at any 2GO branch nationwide.
Q: What purchases are entitled to the 5% rebate?
