So my friends and I had this idea. To have a cooking competition between our friend the professional chef (Mon) vs. the ‘at-home-cook’ Oliver. The aim of this competition was to prove Mon should earn experience cooking as a real chef in a Hotel or a Restaurant and get some mad skills. Because ever since we’ve talked he says his skills have gotten rusty.

My friend Pat R. volunteered her house as the venue for the competition. She has a badass kitchen, it was full of copper. Apparently it was the kingdom of copper cookware. LOL.

Here’s what was decided:

There will be three judges. Those are Myself, Gabby Reinoso, and Pat Reyes. It will be a three course meal. The cooking battle will be done in 2 hours, 1 hour for prepping and 1 hour of cooking.

The Final Judging:

Surprisingly enough to say, that Oliver won the competition. It was a unanimous decision by all three judges that Oliver’s dishes won over Mon’s pro skills. It was 2 dishes over all 3. I was expecting for a 2 to 1 decision at least for Mon. But sadly, the Pro Chef has lost due mostly by his basics. For me it was the lack of seasoning.
