Cartoon NetworkThe cast of Cartoon Network’s live-action Scooby-Doo movie. And they’re actually teens. I know that bleaching Freddie Prinz Jr.’s hair was a HUGE mistake, but surely there is some blond kid out there who can work a red ascot.

Cartoon Network has long since pulled away from recycled cartoons from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s and has been offering original animated programs for some time now. But up until this year, the new offerings have come a little at a time. In the upcoming 2009-2010 season, however, things get a lot more animated as Cartoon Network is scheduled to debut 19 new ventures. The new stuff will be a mix of animated and live-action series and movies. OK, I’m just going to say it: If you’re a kid or a kid at heart, there is something in the mix for everyone. And for all you “Ben 10″ fans — and there must be a lot of them — you’re going to get yet another animated series and another live-action movie. Here’s the rundown on what to expect in the coming months. Debut dates are still up in the air.
