You guys gotta see this, according to the comments on youtube this video is taken from around Quezon City somewhere in Ateneo Manila.
This video was taken today, during the flooding. A Mercedez MB100 Van is getting dragged by the flood. Apparently the current is so bad that A LARGE VAN can get dragged by the flooding because of the heavy rain today. September 26, 2009. Ondoy sure is something.
a little tidbit
Katrina dumped 1″ of rain in 3 hrs & another 0.5″ per hr over next 5 hrs. Ondoy dumped average of 2.24″ per hr for 1st 6 hrs
A Dutch court today ruled that three of the four Pirate Bay founders–Frederik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm, and Peter Sunde–must block traffic between the torrent website and the Netherlands within ten days, or face a daily charge of 30,000 euros ($42,000 USD) per person, per offending day (with a $4,231,000 USD maximum).
Unfortunately, the court did not explain exactly how the operators would accomplish setting up the Internet roadblock. “The Pirate Bay is not a legal person who can be summoned, but a cooperative,” the court said, neglecting to inform the founders what would happen if they refused to comply. Essentially today’s ruling means that The Pirate Bay must close operations within the Netherlands altogether.
The judge also added that the current ruling would remain valid for two months. Stichting Brein must file an application for a permanent ruling before that time period expires, else the interdict will lapse.
In other news, The LA Times is reporting that Global Gaming Factory has managed to raise enough money to purchase The Pirate Bay, gathering commitments from more than 30 private investors that will provide $4 million of the cash portion of the acquisition. The remaining portion of the purchase will be made in stock.
“We have all the investors, and all of the money is in place,” Global Gaming Chief Executive Hans Pandeya told The Times. “The only step left is our shareholders meeting.”
So here I am finally at Powerplant, got there on time, sadly my batteries died and I was only able to take a few pictures of the event. Sorry for the delay, I had to disassemble my whole rig, drain and clean up my watercooling system, and fix my internet. Anyways…..
On to the pictures:
If you’re thinking that the girl in the maid costume is cute, think again. That’s a dude under there. Ew.
The Financial Analyst of World Bank would like to inform each and everyone of you that the present currency exchange rate of US Dollar to Peso is actually $1 = 52 pesos. Your government is manipulating the exchange rate for some years now. It is very much improbable and impossible that the Philippine Peso is appreciating compare to Euro, British Pound, Rials, and any other foreign currency. Even your ASEAN neighboring countries are suffering from the Global Crisis. Singapore, a developed country is affected by depreciation of their currency what more of your country?

Imagine getting a simple Flu shot for P1,800. That’s just insane. To think we used to get flu shots from the local clinic for free.
And these ‘tards think they can charge P150.50 for Tamiflu? WTF. Now these guys have to do something about these soaring prices. They should lower the prices for these things since there’s more demand. But then since there’s gonna be a big lack of supply for it, or MOST LIKELY a hoarding scam of some sort will happen or is already happening.
I know for a fact that this doesn’t exactly help out with H1N1 but since they’re related it wouldn’t hurt getting those shots.
