Globe Telecom’s Loyalty Program

Thank God I’ve been a subscriber for them for the past 10 years. I just called the Globe Hotline and talked to an agent. They agreed to my request in giving me a new phone for my next loyalty availment. In 2 weeks they said they’ll call me for confirmation for my application for the loyalty program, yet again. For the past 6 years I’ve been using the Loyalty Program so I get discounts from my monthly bills. I usually got the 10k as a discount. That basically translates 1k less every month for 10 months. But Globe will keep me locked in for an additional 2 years. My sister gets a similar thing but she gets a 5k discount, 500 a month discount for 10 months, locked in for 2 years.

I’m getting the Iphone 3GS 32GB! Yay for me. It’ll be locked to globe, I don’t mind though, since I don’t have any plans in switching at all. I’ll be locked to globe for another 2 years, again. They said I just have to add P6,XXX for the phone. They also said that I have to add P1,xxx for the 16gb version, I said to myself fuck that, I’m getting the 32gb. LOL. The agent I talked to was Nette Ferreras. She was personable enough, and hopefully I’ll get that phone call in 2 weeks if there are any available Iphone 3GS 32gb’s from Apple. I’m just praying that when I do get my Iphone that Apple doesn’t release their 4G version any time soon. =P

Nokia enters Netbook Market

Nokia Booklet (Nokia)

The Booklet has 3G, Bluetooth, and wi-fi connectivity

The world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones will join the PC market with its Booklet 3G netbook.

The Windows-based device is about 2cm thick and will offer 3G connectivity as well as wi-fi.

Analysts said the laptop was a “natural extension” of the company’s product range but the firm would face stiff competition.

Nokia will release price and availability information at an event in Stuttgart on 2 September.

The Booklet has an aluminium case, weighs 1.25 kilograms (2.75 lbs) and its 10-inch screen is HD-ready.

Nokia has released a number of small, “tablet”-style internet-enabled devices in the past to mixed reviews, but this is the first effort which is claimed to be a full-function PC.

“A growing number of people want the computing power of a PC with the full benefits of mobility,” said Kai Oistamo, Nokia’s executive vice president for devices.

“We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us.”

Globe Telecom 23x Promos

Now here I was looking for ways for me to be able to call during the day and keep my bills low. So I go search around so as to get my bills lower and still be able to call a lot during the day.

Everybody already knows about Unlitxt and Unyt. I’m a frequent user of those promos. And then a friend of mine who’s familiar with the promos since she uses it a lot, apparently. She told me about this 236 promo thing. It’s pretty much explanatory. I hope I keep my bills down with this. LOL.

Here it is:

Nokia Wireless Charging Batteries

Wireless power. And while early lab experiments have been able to “beam” electricity a few feet to power a light bulb, the day when our laptops and cell phones can charge without having to plug them in to a wall socket still seems decades in the future.

Nokia, however, has taken another baby step in that direction with the invention of a cell phone that recharges itself using a unique system: ambient radio waves from the air, and turns that energy into usable power. Enough, at least, to keep a cell phone from running out of juice.

NTC Guildelines on Load Validity for Prepaid

That’ll teach these tards from ripping us off. They finally realized that these prepaid mobile providers have been ripping us regular folks for a good long time. Took them a while though but at least they’re doing their job.
