Philippines: Bhut Jolokia and Other Chinense Update 10/3/10

So I found out that the seeds I got from ebay from bonsaiflowers were a complete bunch of crap. They didn’t grow true. None of them grew like any chinense I had. Serves me right to buy from ebay. No more ebay seeds for me. So anyway, here’s the new batch of seedlings I have planted. Hopefully these babies will give me the right stuff. Besides I got these from several sources and all very reputable. But the final verdict will be when these guys actually produce pods for me and give me insane heat.

Chinense power!!!

left to right…trinidad scorpion sunrise, uknown chinense (unlabelled, lol), devil’s tongue, bhut jolokia assam, bhut jolokia jorhat, 7 pod long

An added bonus is that you can use the fence as a trellis for your plants or a place for you to get climbing vegetables like beans or cucumbers to grow on. Which I do plan on doing. Already sowed snow peas for this purpose. And eventually cucumbers too.

Fenced up my raised beds. stupid cats and dogs have been running around and munching on the leaves of my plants.

been moving around that container of basil to help improve my nightshade’s growth. seems to help.
