Like most PSP owners, we’ve definitely had our fair share of, “Why isn’t there a second analog stick on here?” moments, fiddling in the air with our thumb for the phantom nub. And Sony knows that we want it, according to the most recent issue of Game Informer where Sony exec Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that the company “had a very serious discussion” on the subject, but ultimately decided against it due to worries over splintering the market.

The Details:
The Xbox team will then review all of the applications and if you’re selected we’ll send you an email notifying you of your acceptance in the program. A couple of points before you head off to register:
- We’re looking for multiple thousands of participants, so your chances of making it in are good
- This opportunity is open to all Xbox LIVE Members in regions where Xbox LIVE is available.
- Just completing the survey does not automatically get you access to the Preview Program. We’ll be making final selections from the completed surveys and send you an email if you are selected.
- While both Xbox LIVE Gold and Silver members can sign up, Priority will be given to Gold members in the selection process.
If you are accepted, you’ll hear from us in about a week. Make sure your information on Connect is updated so we can email you if you are accepted. Also, I’ll be sure to updated/edit if the program fills up.

Daigo wins EVO 2009

It was pure pandemonium at Evo 2009, as Daigo “The Beast” Umehara defeated U.S Champion Justin Wong two sets to one, proving once against why he’s the best Street Fighter IV player in the world.
Sony have revealed plans to add facial recognition capabilities to their PlayStation Eye webcam, potentially stealing part of Microsoft’s Project Natal thunder. According to Kish Hirani, Sony Europe’s head of developer services, the functionality will soon be added to the existing hardware, with developer libraries available for games studios so that they don’t need to exert effort specifically coding for the new system.
A new Batman: Arkham Asylum developer diary entry sees the Rocksteady Studios team explaining their desire for players to feel like the dark knight himself–playing with handy gizmos and lurking unseen in the shadows, emerging to soundly thrash ne’er do wells.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is released on August 25 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
