Want some superhero goodness in your online game? Get your PC’s ready as Champions Online will be having their open beta next month!
The Champions Online open beta will commence on August 17, and will run 24/7 until it closes. For those already in the closed beta, your “opening hours” are about to be extended as the game ramps up for release, with the beta open from Friday mornings through to Monday mornings every weekend until the open beta commences.

Watch out Adobe: Microsoft Silverlight 3 has launched and boy is its feature list something for Flash’s makers to pay just a little attention to. Foremost in the feature set: the addition of GPU-acceleration; though codec support has been improved, too.

As we said, AMD plans to launch Evergreen series DirectX 11 graphics card by the end of 2009, and hopefully promote it for the release of Microsoft’s Windows 7 on Oct 22nd.
