Noob-cake, Southern Rag now on Twitter via RSS!

noobYou can now do the same! By signing up on TwitterFeed. Twitterfeed will automatically feed your Blogs into Twitter.

What it does is that it checks the provided RSS News Feeds regularly and posts new items to a Twitter account. That’s the basic principle at least.

Users need an Open ID to log into the service and a Twitter account to publish the RSS News Feed to. It basically works like this. The user creates a new account at Twitterfeed using an Open ID account. He can then create a new Twitter Feed to the account by supplying a Twitter account and a feed url of the feed that he wants to add. Once that has been setup Twitterfeed will publish new items on the Twitter account automatically until the user pauses or deletes it again.

Bing, Microsoft’s Nth Search Engine

MAYBE the third time’s a charm.

Microsoft must certainly be hoping so, after announcing the third reincarnation of its search engine, now dubbed Bing, which goes live June 3.

Research company ComScore reports that Google accounted for 64.2 percent of all US Internet searches in April, while Yahoo had 20.4 percent. Microsoft accounted for only 8.2 percent.

How to get your WordPress Site Indexed Better

Found this while I was searching around for stuff to improve my site.  Hope it’ll help you too.

So you have deployed and setup your new WordPress blog, but you want it to be indexed by Google and the other search engines as soon as possible. For spiders to easily find the content on your website it is best to use permalinks that contain the title of your post while not containing any characters such as: &, %, #, etc.

Using the title of the blog post as the permalink is best because it contains keywords that are related to your article. If you are hosting your WordPress blog on an Apache server then you will also have to modify your .htaccess file. Just follow these instructions step by step and your blog will be indexed properly and fast!

To access your permalink settings first log into your WordPress dashboard. Next click on “Settings”, then click “Permalinks”.
