Want FREE Fertilizer / Compost? from Starbucks?!

I faintly remember Starbucks giving away their coffee grounds to people for their gardens. Back then I never really take notice of these things. But as my awareness that fertilizer can actually be costly, this is a very welcome addition for us gardeners. To the guy who thought of this, I thank you. LOL. Making ways to give back to their customers like this just makes me wanna go there (even if coffee isn’t good for my kidneys). Read the rest of this entry »

Ordering Seeds from Ebay.ph

After about a week or so of venturing into herb gardening I decided to add Hot peppers into my gardening thing. I decided that if I was gonna grow anything I might as well get the good stuff. Since the good stuff can’t be found locally, I had to look for online options.

Now you guys now my little secret where I got my seeds! Originally I was just looking for seeds to buy over the net. I was willing enough to purchase stuff online from Ebay since seeds aren’t exactly expensive. So I went online looking for stuff in Sulit.com.ph and Ebay.ph and found some interesting stuff on both sites. I didn’t really like sulit since they didn’t really include delivery or door-to-door, and for some reason sulit is a lot more expensive than Ebay, even on ‘Buy Now’ prices.

Noah’s Ark Found?

A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers say wooden remains they have discovered on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey are the remains of Noah’s Ark.

The group claims that carbon dating proves the relics are 4,800 years old, meaning they date to around the same time the ark was said to be afloat. Mt. Ararat has long been suspected as the final resting place of the craft by evangelicals and literalists hoping to validate biblical stories.

Interesting! I wonder if it’s the real thing. Oh, and riddle me this, How in God’s name did that boat get on top of Mt. Ararat in the first place if there were absolutely no signs that there were no major climate changes at that point in time like they said? =D

Meralco and Our Ever Increasing Electricity Bill

I recently found this facebook page about a protest on Meralco’s unreasonable price hikes. I joined in on the effort by posting the link on my facebook wall and told people to “like” it too. I hope you guys do the same. When the number of people who have “liked” it has reached 100,000 people, it’ll be submitted to Meralco and show them that the public isn’t happy.

Also, have you ever noticed that since the Cojuanco’s bought out Meralco that this started happening? (San Miguel bought a big stake of Meralco’s shares). What’s sad is the government is turning a blind eye on the public’s plight. THIS JUST SUCKS ASS. I mean, I know it’s election season, but if you really want the public happy, DO SOMETHING?!?!!??

I’ve had friends who have had their bills spike up to 30K just last month. Ours went up to 18k for God’s sakes! We just normally use around 11k. That’s just insane! NO MORE EXCUSES MERALCO. WE WANT YOU TO ROLL OVER AND DIE!!!!!!!!

How to Make Your Own Starter Pots for FREE

Well basically, I’m so cheap (and BROKE) that I’d rather look for cheaper and if possible FREE ways to garden. And since I was a noob at it and didn’t have the right materials. I looked online for ways to do it. And I found this video on Youtube that teaches you to make starter pots out of newspaper. It’s great coz it’s biodegradable and it’s FREE. =D
