PS3 Slim Slower then PS3 Phat?

According to our friends at Kotaku that PS3 Slim is tad bit slower that the older version of the Playstation 3. I wonder why? Even in my older posts, Sony claims that the Slim will be even faster than its previous iteration.

The Slim’s bootup doesn’t include the jingle and the Spider-Man font splash screen, but the level load also is faster, so the absence of that probably isn’t why the Slim’s faster in this test. But who knows.

It makes little sense that the new unit would have a different, slightly underpowered motherboard, so the rumor is that the two configurations might have different hard drives. The maker of the comparison claims both consoles use the same hard drive. It could also be a firmware issue. Who knows.

But look! Look at that! Why the Phat is practically done with the FBI warning before the Slim even shows it! Seven seconds saved! Go Phat! Go!

My Opinion: How to Eat on a Dollar a Day

I found this interesting article on Time.com. It was piqued my attention since I find it next to impossible for a person that lives in the USA to live off on just a dollar a day budget on meals, considering their daily cost of living and all that. Even here in my country, the Philippines it’d be a challenge to live on that that less money.

Ghost Chili, World’s HOTTEST Chili

So lately I’ve been watching this relatively new show from the Travel Channel called Man v. Food. And all I’ve been hearing about is this World’s Spiciest chili pepper called the ‘ghost chili’. So I’ve been researching what it is and where to find it, just so I can try it out myself. Turns out, it’s originally from India.

Here’s more about it:

PS3 Belzar Modchip Possibly Fake

According to this blog, Belzar modchip is quite possibly a fake.

Yep, that’s Belzar right there. The same Belzar.com who only recently proclaimed to the world that they are on the verge of releasing a full-fledged direct boot modchip for the PS3. The first of its kind, they said. They’ve already sent out the second beta of the second modchip to 50 beta testers in fact!

And even if it wasn’t fake, I have some doubts with the said modchip since I’ve been recently researching a bit about it. There have been quite the buzz about the fact that the belzar modchip would only work until the next firmware update and then it’ll be pretty much useless. Even according to the comments in this website, which is a website all about modding the playstation 3. They have been quite skeptical about the capabilities of this chip.

My Thoughts on Rebuild of Evangelion

We really can’t talk about something if we don’t know about it now, can we?

What is Rebuild of Evangelion?

Rebuild of Evangelion (ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版, Evangerion Shin Gekijōban , lit. “Evangelion New Theatrical Version”) is a tetralogy of animated films which are a remake/re-imagining of the original anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is being produced by Studio Khara in partnership with Gainax. Hideaki Anno wrote the first movie and will be the general director and manager for the entire project. Kazuya Tsurumaki and Masayuki will direct the films, while Yoshiyuki Sadamoto will provide character designs and Ikuto Yamashita will provide mechanical designs. Shinji Higuchi and Tomoki Kyoda will provide storyboards for the first film.

Wolverine and Ironman Anime News

After having watched the trailer all over again. I just realized I had to write about these two new titles that are going to be released next year. It apparently is going to be a TV series that’s gonna be out on Animax. So for those who get Animax Channels in their countries, lucky you. But for the rest of us, we’ll just have to find other means to watch these interesting new titles.

If you’ve seen the trailers you’d have realized by now that they’re not the same as the western version. Their origins are much different and of course the stories are WAY off from the original. They had to be adapted to the Japanese culture so they changed it a whole lot. But I think most of the core characteristics of their western versions have been kept alive to at least be “true”. I think. It no longer is Ironman of the western world neither is Wolverine, as you can see, he looks WAY different and would probably be different personality wise. So don’t get your panties in a bunch if you get to see this anime and have a lot of things to say about it and how odd the japanese versions are, because they’re not odd. They’re just not the western kind.

We here from the eastern side of the border have seen many a movie that have been mangled and mutilated by the western world that was originally of this side of the world. So I guess it’s the japanese’s turn to tweak the west’s best into their own. That’s what they’re good at. Making foreign things into their own. Or so they at least say.

For those who hasn’t seen the trailers, my earlier post can be searched by using my search tool found on the upper left or just look for it under the related posts part of this page. =D

Thanks Gab for telling me to write more stuff with my opinion on it. I’ll work on my writing more. =p
