My Newest Herbs from Green Hearts / Thyme Square

So last sunday I decided to take a trip to Thyme Square since I had requested Green Hearts to reserve their one and only Camellia Sinensis plant. This was the day after I graduated from Culinary School. A little reward for myself after all those long months of training and schooling.

My Trip to Bio Research: Lost Eden (Sucat) And Ashitaba Hunt

So I had nothing to do and I decided to go to Bio Research because I heard from a user on Pinoyexchange that they were selling an herb that has been eluding me for the past few weeks. This is the Ashitaba. An Herb that is said to be “miraculous”, another one of those “miracle herbs”.

What is the RH Bill? My Thoughts and Opinions

So here I was driving home listening home to Boys Night Out just now and their topic tonight was about the RH Bill. The Reproductive Health Bill. They were very vocal about their position on the RH Bill.

But before that we have to discuss first what it is and what it’s all about.

Philippine Government: No more Unlimited Rice?

THE government’s eagerness in preserving rice stocks in the country may redirect an initiative of saving the grains to restaurants offering “unlimited rice.”

source: sun star

Recently, news about rice price increased was covered by different TV stations. Inflation is an ordinary thing and not worth broadcasting (for me). There is no rice shortage but the price still went up due to rocketing oil prices. National Food Authority reminds the public to conserve rice. They suggests to ban unlimited rice offerings of some restaurants and fast food chains. They insist that many are ordering rice but cannot be consumed. Uneaten rice are gone to waste.

New Pest Problems for 2011

As the new year has come, so has new challenges in my garden come too. My peppers and tomatoes have been riddled with fungus infestations, bacterial infections and of course insects that are eating through my garden.

See the hole in the black cherry? It looks completely healthy unless you cut it open and find yourself with a tomato full of maggots.
